The second day of ‘Gluco Ki JLC’ began with participants filing in
early morning. The three day leadership summit is an assembly of more than
200 youngsters, between the ages of 10 to 15 years, brought together under an
enlightening initiative from School
of Leadership .
The theme of the day was ‘Dare’ and pursuing this theme, the first
activity of the day inspired the participants to ‘Build from the Broken’, where
participants recycled various materials to create something new. Led by Waqar
Ali - the Day Champ, the day featured a number of prominent experts, speakers,
educationists, celebrities and trainers.
After a keynote session titled ‘Creator, Creation &
Creativity’ by Umair Jaliawala, the talented participants enjoyed tea with
their Enablers. A multiple intelligence model ‘Try, Test & Fail’ brought
together experts to conduct workshops on themes such as photography, sculpture,
robotics, choreography, fashion and much more with the participants.
Dalda helped bring together mothers for a special lunch during a
‘Caring Lunch with Mothers’ followed by a session that provided participants
with the motivation to turn their interests into their passion. The youngsters
brought their creativity to the forefront once again during the Junior
Master-Chefs segment. A set of study tours provided an exciting opportunity for
the participants to travel around the city, and the day ended with an outdoor
activity titled ‘Be the Light’.
The second day of the conference came to a close on the 16th
of July. Gluco Ki JLC will continue until Sunday, 17th July, 2016.
