The 9TH
Pakistan TELECON 2016 organized by Shamrock Conferences International will be
held on May 17, 2016 from 9.30 a.m. at the Marriott Hotel Islamabad. The theme
of the conference is “At the Crossroads of Revolutionary
Technology Challenges”
Coinciding with the World Telecom Day 2016, the annual
assembly of key stakeholders from Pakistan’s telecom, IT, financial, academia,
social and related sectors, will focus on major developments from a regulatory,
technology and entrepreneurship perspective.
In addition, updates on
emerging technologies, e-commerce, e-education, Internet-of-Things (IoT),
start-ups and social impact of entrepreneurship, will also be highlighted. Eminent speakers, experts and panelists will
be dilating in the four dedicated sessions on regulatory, technology, ICT

Representatives from the
Ministry of IT & Telecom, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA),
Nayatel, Telenor Pakistan, PTCL, Microsoft Pakistan, P@SHA, Ministry of Science
& Technology, Balochistan; Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Ilm Ideas
2, Convo and Careem Networks will be speaking on the occasion.
An interesting aspect of
TELECON will be the interactive panel discussion hovering on the global theme
of World Telecom Day 2016, “ICT Entrepreneurship for Social Impact”
which will feature inputs from startups to success stories and how technology
is making a difference in e-education.
Delegates from across the
country, some from abroad, have registered to attend the day-long annual
conference organized with the support of the Ministry, PTA, Multinet, PTCL,
Haier, PSEB, P@SHA and ISPAK, respectively.
